My Erasmus experience

A few months ago, I took part to this Erasmus project and I went to Czech Republic. This was not only my first cultural exchange, but also my first trip abroad.
At the beginning I was afraid bacause I thought I wouldn't have been able to take on the  situation, especially the problem regarding my English because I thought my skills were not good enough. Then, after the first day at Příbram's school, where we all started to know each other and tried to socialize, I started to feel more confident and since that day things started to get better and I was no longer afraid. Then we did a workshop in Pilsen that introduced us to the world of work. For me it was really useful because I managed to clarify the ideas about my future and I started thinking seriously about what I want to become and get ready to face it. It was also useful because I could meet other guys who participated to the project and know them better. The last few days we had to organize and then present interviews made, for example, at the police station. It was so interesting and we had to go all around the city alone, only with our group made all of people from different countries.
With these two activities, in particular, I was able to develop a personal sensitivity towards others and the need of communicate and relate to others. The last day we went to Prague and we visited the whole city all together.
Erasmus experience helped  me a lot realizing my ambitions. I could meet people from different countries and learn something new about them. It was  an important chance also because I could improve my English skills.Fortunately at the end I became unexpectedly more confident thanks to practical application.

Introducing myself

I'm Michela, I'm 16 and I live in Rome.
I'm a student and I attend the third year of high school. In my freetime I like listening to the music and reading books because I like isolating myself from what surrounds me for seeing my world from different perspective.
I started dancing when i was three and because of this I can say that it's my biggest passion. I've always loved music, since I was young and this is the first reason I started dancing. Me and music are the same thing.  Love for dance has grown over time thanks to my passion for performing arts such as theater, then acting, and singing. I love being behind the scenes and I hope one day I'll be able to work in the entertainment world maybe just to keep this passion also because I have other goals like studying/living abroad. After the high school I'd like to study oriental languages like Japanese and Korean and maybe spend a period in Japan or Korea working and learning more of their culture. I've always been intrigued by the particularity of this two countries, their language, their traditions. Last years I started learning Japanese on my own and with time I'm starting to understand some words or sentences. I like studying and learning always something new thanks to my curiosity and dedication. The fact that I'd like to study oriental languages is connected to my love for idioms, in fact, I decided to study them at school. Now, during my school lessons I study Spanish, English and German, and, in the future I'd like to deepen their knowledge maybe living abroad.
